Brand new Dell system running Windows XP. Have partitioned hard drive and a mirrored reserve drive on the system. Keep getting Ftdisk error in the event log, event ID 57. Have repeatedly run Chkdsk with repair, but error keeps recurring. I'm not having any performance issues, but the error message warns of potential data corruption so I'd like to know why it is occuring. Has anybody seen this before? Any suggestions as to how to fix it?

gopal krishna - I think you nailed it with the unsafe USB removal problem. I've instructed all users in proper removal and have not received error since - thank you! That was driving me crazy!
