Hi Experts,

I need to provide my User a way of batch entry barcode data in a List View Layout .

Until now I had the user enter the BarCodes in a dialog using Troi Dialog Plug-in then
when the dialog is closed to populate the records with the entered data with a looping script.

Is there a way of entering the data directly in the fields having the focus going from one field in a record
to the same field in next (generate the Ctrl+DownArrow with BarCode).

BarCodes are in extended code 39

Thanks

I doubt you can generate Ctrl+arrow with a barcode reader, but you probably can generate a [enter] key after each code (they all generate a validation code, tab or return most of the time), and have a looping script which pauses at every record, then will goto next record when the enter code will make the script to continue. You can also do this with a custom dialog box and have the same validation code to simulate the default button of the dialog box.
If the barcode reader you use allows free validation sequences, then you may even be able to generate the Ctrl+arrow code, but I ignore the ascii code for it, and I personnaly only used basic units with tab validation to goto next field only.
If you have a keyboard spy utility, you may be able to find the ascii code for Ctrl+arrow...
