I was wondering if  a radeon mobility 9000 agp is campatibile with direct3d.  i thought it was, becaues i have played Black&White2 on my laptop, but i just installed playing RCT3 and when i run a dxdiag i do not have a direct3d installed on the system.  I know the game works b/c i put it on another laptop that is newer.

my system is an ibm thinkpad R51

XP pro sp2
1.6 mhz processor
766 mb RAM
dx 9.0c (fully updated according to microsoft)

and if it is direct3d compatibile how do i get direct3d to work?

thx,

The card does support direct 3d.

Try this it might solve your problem

1. Uninstall your ATI Driver
2. Reboot
3. Go to Windows Safe Mode and use Driver Cleaner Pro
4. Reboot
5. On your normal windows session, unpack your latest and latest-1 ATI Video Drivers.
6. Using the "found new hardware window" browse through your HD to the place where you have unpacked your drive's files (latest-1 for now). You should have a "driver" directory name within it and below there's a "2KXP_INF" directory? Use this last directory ("2KXP_INF") for the browse feature. It should install correctly your drives.
7. run dxdiag and see if you have the direct3d working.

This pops up every now and then and you have to follow this and switch between the latest and previous driver *shrugs* Dunno why but it seems to work
