Restore Sharepoint document

On Friday last week someone overwrote a sharepoint document on our site. How easy is it to restore that particular file?

I backup using veritas backup, and then I also do SQL dumps

Is it a Web enabled Sharepoint?  

Have you enabled Version Control?

version control is there but th efile was actually deleted :-/

so I'm going to try what that link provided says.
