Qwest 2Wire Modem configuration for remote access

I am attempting to configure my Qwest 2Wire 2700HD-G DSL modem/Router so I can remote access my office Windows server? I can't seem to access the proper setup page on the modem/router. Do I need to have java-script enabled? Thanks

For most 2Wire modem/routers, the setup page is http://gateway.2Wire.net; even though it looks like a regular web address, it's actually intercepted by the modem. How are you trying to access the page, and what is happening?

I wouldn't normally expect you to need to change the modem setup for remote access to another computer on the Internet anyway. How are you trying to access the server?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, and comments. I was able to get into the advanced firewall settings of the Qwest 2wire (Model 2700HD-G) DSL modem/router and configure the firewall settings to allow both remote desktop and remote assistance to the applied hosting applications to both the server I was attempting to connect to and my computer. It all works fine now.
