I am trying to install VS 2005.

It came with 5 CDs, three of which are for the msdn library.

When running the installation with the first CD, after a while I get the following message:

please insert the disk: microsoft visual studio 2005 standard edition - enu disk 1

What does that mean?

Since you already have it in there, it sounds like it thinks it has been removed, maybe because it is not readable.  Have you tried this with other media, or other machines?

I now put them on my hard disk and am trying again.
