Cannot Launch Lotus Notes

We access Lotus Notes through Citrix and it works fine from my laptop but when I use my desktop and after I login click on the Lotus Notes icon, instead of opening the email it asks me if I want to save a file called launch.ica. I click save but after that I don't know what to do because I cannot open it with anything. Any ideas?

Do you have the Citrix client installed on your desktop?

Yes, I have the Citrix Web Client installed. Could it be Norton Internet Security that doesn't like it? Out of 3 computers, it only fails on one of them, I have McAfee and Trend Micro on the other two that works. Just a thought!
Can you temporarily disable Norton then try to launch Notes via Web Interface to see if you can connect?  Usually, there's a problem with the Citrix client if you're experiencing the launch.ica pop-up message.  Which browser are you using?  Also, do you know which version of the Citrix web client you're using?
This may be your problem (

This document outlines an issue where the .ica file extension registration may fail during upgrades of previous versions of the client to Version 9.00 using the Citrix Presentation Server Client Packager (ica32pkg.msi) under the following scenarios:

• When upgrading from 8.1xx clients, which includes Version 8.100.29670 and private clients, such as Version 8.101 or 8.102.

• When upgrading servers with any of the 8.1xx clients installed to Citrix Presentation Server 4.0.

Note: This known issue occurs only with Version 9.0 of ica32pkg.msi downloaded on or before April 28, 2005. It does not occur with copies downloaded on or after April 29, 2005. The issue occurs only when using ica32pkg.msi to upgrade the client(s). It does not occur when using the individual 9.00 client packages ica32.exe, ica32a.exe, or ica32t.exe.

After upgrading in one of the scenarios above, users connecting to a Web Interface or MetaFrame Secure Access Manager server are prompted to save the .ica file that is used to launch the ICA connection.

The following workarounds are available to fix the issue when encountering the above scenario.

• Execute Citrix Presentation Server Client Packager (ica32pkg.msi), and select Repair to conduct Repair installation for the client.

• Open a command prompt and move to the Presentation Server Client installation directory. Type and execute wfica32 /setup to register an .ica extension. For example:

C:\Program Files\Citrix\ICA Client\>wfica32 /setup
