Flash Application Programming Book

Does anyone have any suggestions for a good book on learning Flash Application Programming. It would have to cover the very basics, and also some more advanced stuff, like database stuff. If you don't know of a book, but have any other good resources like web pages, or online tutorials that will be good too!

I think a base knowledge of actionscript is going to be very important for you.  I have this book and quite like it:
Learning ActionScript 2.0 for Macromedia Flash 8

You can also get Animating with Actionscript which is good as well for animation type stuff.  (not necessarily applications though)

Just give yourself a project, open up flash and get in there and get your hands dirty using it.  :)
