I don't have any background on SAN installation and configuration.
I have worked in the SAN environment where they have 16 disk array block and they installed SAN software in it to manage  it. I think it's an HP.

Does anyone have a link to PDF guide about installing and configuring SAN.

thanks

They're all different. Need make and model of switches and storage arrays.

OK, since you mentioned HP try the SAN design guide and see if you're still sane afterwards, the devil is in the detail...

h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00403562/c00403562.pdf

Doesn't tell you how to set anything up though, to do that you need the individual product manuals; same as saying a LAN is mysterious, how do I set one up? answer which you probably already know is to learns about switches, computer hardware and operating systems.

A book might help, try http://www.amazon.com/Building-SANs-Brocade-Fabric-Switches/dp/192899430X, I would give you my copy of Principles of San Design that Brocade gave me but I haven't read it yet.
