Purging mail queues

Hi all,

I've got a web server that has accumulated many messages in its outgoing mail queue which I'd like to delete (purge).  Can I just go into the spool directory (/home/virtual/admin1/var/spool/mqueue.site/) and delete all the files in there?

Will this cause any other problems?  If so, how would I go about deleting all these messages.

Cheers,

Yes, you can.

The only problem would be if there were "legitimate" messages queued that also got deleted. sendmail won't care either way.
