I've been programming Delphi DLLs for a while but I'm working on my first Delphi exe.  So, I have a few stupid questions.

Is there a way around needing to install borlndmm.dll and rtl100.bpl to get an exe to run?

Thanks.

You are using strings in the function callsin the DLL.

i.e somefunction(S: string)...

Change them to PChars and you don't need to ship the Borland Memory Manager.

Yes, remove Sharemem from your unit list. That will remove the borlndmm.dll dependancy. And the dependency on rtl100.bpl can be removed by turning off the use of runtime packages in your project options, tabpage Packages. You'll see "Run with runtime packages" which you'll need to uncheck.
