errors recovering mailboxes

Hi Guys,

I restored a mailbox store using NTbackup into a recovery storage group.  When I try to recover mailboxes and merge them back into the first storage group, I get the following errors.

The attempt to log on to the Microsoft Exchange Server computer has failed. The MAPI provider failed. Microsoft Exchange Server Information Store ID no: 8004011d-0512-00000000.

I checked the issue on the Microsoft site, they said it had to do with the permissions of the user account using the recovery, but I have checked I am using an account with full admin right to the Windows 2003 domain and exchange 2003 server.  Please help

is your account having send as/ receive as rights on the mailbox store that has this mailbox?

I have read the exmerge instructions and it seems that I can only extract data and merge thme into the original mailboxes.  I had the deleted the user mailboxes before and recreated them, after that I did the restore into the recovery storage group.  Is there a way to restore or merge old mailbox data into newly created mailboxes of the same user account ?
