microsoft windows photo printing wizard - resize & center a single image on page?
Using the microsoft windows photo printing wizard in Windows XP HOme --
-- How do I resize a photo on the paper when printing to 8.5 x 11 paper? . I am printing a single piciture but I don't want it to fill the page.
NOTE -- I resolved this issue for the customer by installing irfanview, but it seems like it should be possible within the MS program...

Believe it or not, Google's Picassa will allow you to Print a 3.5X5 or 4X6 in the Center of an 8.5X11 when you select only 1 Copy per page, but MS won't. Personally I use the MS Wizard for quick prints but I utilize Picassa as a photo organizer.
My guess for why the feature isn't included is that not many people really want to waste that much paper (especially when using Photo paper) when printing a Photo. If you don't include options like resizing or moving pages, you can keep the programs File Size to a lesser number thereby making it available to a larger audience. If it was too large, I probably would uninstall it and use an alternative that did everything I was looking for.
