Unexplained Document Deletion

I have two users who reported that their documents on a Windows 2K3 shared folder are deleted without user intervention.  The end users insisted they did not delete nor any other employee deleted any of their documents.  If this is the case, can someone explain to me why Windows is automatically deleting documents?

Dear jahhan,
Windows Doesn't delete the documents. There can be some unknown human errors which might have caused this. You may be able to find who deleted it by checking security event log if you have enabled the Auditing.
