Hello,

I would like to request some assistance.  I am trying to create a dynamic (external file, xml / txt whatever) scrolling / marquee text box in Flash 8.  (I do NOT want scrollbars I want it to just scroll constantly)

My code

newsTicker.backgroundColor = 0x202020;
newsTicker.borderStyle = "none";
newsTicker.html = true;
newsTicker.wordWrap = true;
newsTicker.multiline = true;
newsTicker.editable = false;

newsTickerContent = new XML();
newsTickerContent.ignoreWhite = true;
newsTickerContent.load("test.xml");
newsTickerContent.onLoad = function(success)
{
      if(success)
      {
            newsTicker.text = newsTickerContent;
      }
}

How do I make it into a continous looping text field?  I was thinking with the .scroll added to the newsTicker.scroll += 1;
but I am not sure how I am going to find the end of the text file and make it loop back through, or I could just be awfully wrong on this and not doing it right to begin with.

If anyone could link me a fla, or correct my code to make a function scrolling vertical news field, I'll be happy to award points and you'll have my gratitude.
