embed video in pdf file

I work with Adobe Acrobat (ver 7) to create pdf files and would like to know how to embed a video in the file so it can be seen by others who view the file, especially as an email attachment.

You would use the "Movie Tool", which is either on the toolbar (in the "Advanced Editing" toolbar), or on the menu (Tools>Advanced Editing>Movie Tool).

Once the tool is selected, you can draw a rectangle on the page on which you want to embed the movie. Once you've selected a file in the "Location" field, the "Embed content in document" will become available. You need to have this setting selected so that the video content gets embedded in the file, otherwise the PDF file will just reference an external file - and that will not work if you send the PDF as an email attachment.
