Hi all,
I have a SBS 2003 server and exchange 2003. The information store has stopped this morning due to
the 16GB limit being exceeded.

I know i can tweak the db size to 17gb to allow the mounting of it while stuff is deleted, however can i
just install exchange sp2 to increase my DB size?

Currently its version 6.5 build 7226.6 SP1

Can i apply this service pack in its current state?

Pls help...they are all waiting :D

Hi dlloyd37,

I would install SP2 if I were you.
You can also add some quotas so the users don't use all that disk space.
Let them remove the avi files :)

Cheers!

Hi.....i couldn't wait any longer for a reply so i've just finished
applying SP2 and reconfiguring the DBs maximum size to 60 GB....was the way to go, as u
said..

I added the the value 60 in decimal to a new dword (i created using regedt32) named Database Size Limit in GB, created under:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\<Exchange Server Name>\Private-<long hexadecimal string>

Is there a way to actually confirm that the DB's size limit is indeed 60 GB?

Thnx for your help

David
