The export to excel is not working in the SQL reporting services. all other exports are working.
If I do a remote to the reporting server and access the report likee http://localhost/reports.... the export is working but if I do http://sqlrptprod08/reports from my local machine the export to excel is not working.

Hi Viggee,

Are you using sql reporting services 2000 or 2005?
When the export doesn't work - what happens?

Cheers,

Hi Viggee,
Presumably the report works normally otherwise.
Have you tried it on different workstations

The initial release of RS2000, without service packs could only export to Excel 2003. SP1 changed this to allow export to Excel 2000.

Can you explain in more detail, what is happening when you try to export.

Cheers
Chris

I have fixed this issue, in the reporting services configuation manager, the execution account was not specified, when I specified it the excel exports started working.
