want to do windows update on win2k server

My windows 2k server machine doesn't download anything from the Internet. When I click on 'save to disk' instead of 'open in current location' I get a window with a bunch of gobbledygook. Which I assume is the hex chars of the file I'm trying to download. I want to try to burn the updates on another machine (ME) that works and then run it from my win2k machine. Is that possible? What files should I look for in the windows update site?

You can find all of the downloads for windows 2000 server here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/Browse.aspx?displaylang=en&productID=BC118C5B-4D63-41CC-A609-35CB35C09347

You could also connect to http://update.microsoft.com with the server, and allow it to detect which updates you need.

If you don't have the ability to download from windowsupdate, then you could take note of which updates your computer needs (Identified by the KB########) and then download them from the first link I posted.

Hope this helps!
