I am looking for a device that can just store cd-roms instead of having a pile of cd cases.  Nothing fancy just something cheap.  Any ideas?

A different approach:  rip all those CD's to iso images, and put them on a big cheap hard drive.  Put the actual CD's in a box in the attic!  Mount the iso images on virtual CD drives with something like Daemon Tools http://www.daemon-tools.cc.  If you want, share all the virtual CD drives so that anyone on any computer on your lan can access any of the CD's without messing up the whole pile, cracking the plastic cases, leaving peanut butter finger prints on the disks, and losing them under their beds for several months (or is it just my kids who do all that?)
