IE7 lost favorites

I switched to IE7 and several days later I lost all of my favorites. I assume they are erased because when I click on favorites I only see the last one or two that I added. Is this a common problem? I have a backup, but what is the filename that I can restore?

from kellys korner

Can't Find Favorites:

Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/View. Select Show hidden files and folders. Then go to C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Favorites. Right click/unhide

Right clicked on favorites (under "all users") but it did not have an unhide. Under the user name (Jack) it did not have a favorites folder.

Try a search of the c: drive for the name of one of your favorites such as "google"  and see if it finds anything.  Make sure you are searching all files and hidden files, just in case.
