Detect Firewall and Anti-Virus

I have help documents for my users for all the most common versions of Anti-Virus and Firewall software.  All I need to do is figure out what versions they have.  What is the best way to find out what Anti-Virus / Firewall software a user has installed?

Hi

in the windows registry there is a path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\Monitoring\

This folder contains sub folders for major firewall and anti-virus manufacturers

If the firewall or anti-virus software is installed on the system the sub folder for the software will contain a binary value. If the software is not installed the sub folder will contain noothing

What's the easiest way to get the installation path?  I would like to pull back what version of the software they are running as well.

Once you know which is installed you can use the find file functions
