hi,

Does each server come with 5 Terminal Services Client Access licenses ?  How can I set it up?  thx

usually with a windows server purchase then you get 5 Cals, no setup needed,  its auto

hmm..okay, I will check....also, is there a way to set up so it will time out and force to logout user?

oh no no no! my bad!

it comes with a 5 cal for normal access NOT terminal server access!

Do you mean login from the console directly?

I always thought it comes with 5 t.s.a.....

nope it comes with RDP which allows 2 connections but no actual TS licences

so if I need more than 2 and the server is in the hosting company, I need to purchse more seat?  thx

if you are using term serv in app mode then yes you can use this policy

Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Terminal Services\Sessions      Sets a time limit for active but idle Terminal Services sessions

you need a cal per connection - best bet is to talk to ms licencing
