Problem with CF_CT_DATE_INPUT tag in a Firefox form

I am using six CF_CT_DATE_INPUT tags in a cfform to call up a date calendar. It works fine in IE but not in Firefox, when you click to bring up the calendar in Firefox, it thinks that you are submitting the entire form and does not bring up the calendar.
You will find the form here.
http://www.expat-online.com/living/expat_events/submit_event.cfm?sponsorid=622

The code I am using for the calendar part is

<cfformitem type="html">
<strong>Date 1:</strong> <CF_CT_DATE_INPUT
        NAME="date1"
            value="#dateformat(getevent.date1,"mm/dd/yyyy")#" >
            <cfinput type="hidden" name="dateid" value="#OtherDates.DateID[1]#"/>
Date 2: <CF_CT_DATE_INPUT
        NAME="date2"
            value="#dateformat(getevent.date2,"mm/dd/yyyy")#" >
            <cfinput type="hidden" name="dateid" value="#OtherDates.DateID[2]#"/>
Date 3: <CF_CT_DATE_INPUT
        NAME="date3"
            value="#dateformat(getevent.date3,"mm/dd/yyyy")#" >
            <input type="hidden" name="dateid" value="#OtherDates.DateID[3]#"/>
</cfformitem>

Thanks

John

may not work in FF ...
the JS has this note...
<!--  TESTED USING MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER, NOT TESTED WITH    -->
<!--  OTHER BROWSERS AS OF YET. -->

You could try the JS DHTML from

http://www.dynarch.com/projects/calendar/

open source and works in most all browsers... very nice features and simple to use.

I would like to reopen this if I can. I use the CF tag on a lot of pages and it is really simple to set up. Can anyone tell me why it would work in IE and not in Firefox. It must be a small tweak that I need to do to get it to work.

Thanks

John
