Cannot access pop server

I am trying to access a pop server that we have setup. Everything is there and I can access the accounts via owa, but when I try and access via pop in outlook express I get the following error. I have tried using domain\username , domain\username\alias and alias@domain and even username@domain. I keep getting this message. I need this resolved asap. thanks.

UThere was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your User Name was rejected. Account: 'mail.domain.com', Server: 'mail.domain.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR Cleartext login on this server requires the use of transport level security (SSL/TLS).', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC91

Your pop3 server has TLS security enabled.  If you run the Exchange server, go to the properties of the POP3 virtual server, and disable TLS authentication if you don't need it.  You can enable the other types of authentication.  However, if TLS is enabled, it sounds like someone was trying to secure the POP3 server, so you might want to investigate the history of why before just turning it off.
