Greetings, ikeepon !

Email sent in Rich Text Format can appear as attachment. Change the format to HTML or Plain Text and then send the message.

Best wishes!

ikeepon,

As I said before, it is known problem that Rich Text formatting can cause the problem.  Is the attachment a DAT file?  If the recipient email client is not Outlook, the email created with HTML format can appear as a DAT attachment.  The client cannot read Outlook proprietary HTML code.

It's an Outlook 2003 to an Outlook 2003.  No attachments.  Mail comes in as attachment though when source client is configured for HTML.

What is the extension of attachment? .DAT?  Did user create bad HTML code?
