Change Standard Calendar

Is it possible to change the standard calendar to reflect public holidays.  Each time  I create a new project I ave to go in and enter the public holidays as non work time, it would make sense if I could set this somewhere and have it automatically default in for all new projects.

Any ideas??

thanks

yes.... it's a two phase process.
1) Create a calendar that reflect the public holidays, etc
Open a new blank project file...
Tools, Change Working Time
Click on 'New' at the bottom of the dialog... I would suggest you create a copy of Standard and name it "Standard With Holidays" or something.
Make Required Changes.

2) Copy that calendar in the "Global.mpt" file -- that's the default template for a blank project.
While in your project file that has your brand new calendar in it ...
Tools, Organizer.
Select the 'Calendars' tab
Copy the new calendar into the global.mpt.

Now, when you create a new blank project you can reference that new calendar as you need to in Project, Project Info.

Luck,
