WMI ADAP unable to process PerfDisk due to a time violation -- So what?

Event Viewer gives a warning with an Event ID: 61 that at Boot Up WMI ADAP was unable to process the PerfDisk performance library due to a time violation in the open function.

Other than the appearance of this warning, I'm unaware of how this affects the computer. The warning has run for months and months; I have ignored it on two counts:
1. I have not seen any adverse effects
2. I have not found a clear remedy.

I want to get rid of this warning, but I don't want the remedy to be worse than the problem.

Any suggestions?

Check out the comments on http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=61&eventno=21&source=WinMgmt&phase=1 - in general, this is a performance monitoring issue and should give no reason to get too worried.
