SDI development environment

I have not long switched into the .NET environment from VB 5 & 6. It would appear I'm the only person that actually likes developing with my environment set to SDI?
Now previous versions of VB let me just select between SDI and MDI in an easy check box, I've gone through as many options as I can find in .NET and can't find it? I know how to turn tabs on an off and I can make silly things float like properties window, start pages, etc. but not my actual design and code windows.
Just wondered if someone could give me fool proof steps to make the whole lot float.
Look forward to an answer,

       Visual Studio 2003 doesn't containt SDI interface as VB5 or VB6 . But it supports Tabbed Documents(Default) and MDI

to change this settings.

Please goto
Tools -> Options

     -> General

select the radio button

 Tabbed Documents or
 MDI Environment.

you have to restart the IDE to take effec.
