CRM remote access with SSL-VPN device

Hi all,

Before I go through the expense, can someone tell me if I'll be able to access CRM 3.0 remotely if I implement something like a SonicWall SSL-VPN 200 device?

Also, if the answer to the above question is yes, does this also mean that I can use Outlook remotely as well if I just check the box to use RPC over HTTPS in the Exchange configuration?

If I'm understanding you correctly, you can access CRM remotely through a VPN because you are (virtually) a part of the internal network.  Of course, this depends on whether or not you have access to the CRM web site through the VPN at all (e.g. does the VPN limit what network resources you have access to?  It would be just like accessing an intranet site through the VPN.

Outlook using RPC over HTTPS has nothing to do with the CRM outlook client.  The CRM Outlook client just "wraps" the CRM web site in outlook forms, so you still need access to the CRM web site for the outlook client to work.
