Resolve 'Synchronization of it was skipped (0x00050b)' message.

A user has Outlook 2003 running on an Exchange mail server. He gets the following in his synchronization log:

The following message had an error and synchronization of it was skipped (0x00050b).

How can I resolve this?

No I don't mean using a roaming profile. Roaming profiles actually cause problems with this kind of issue because problems can follow the user around that are client side.
I don't use roaming profiles at all. Many of the "benefits" I can replicate with scripts and group policy.

Simply log in to another machine as the user and configure Outlook fresh. If it works then the problem is with the original profile.

Profile deletion is in Control Panel, Mail.

Does it follow the user to another machine?
Is it affecting all users?

If it doesn't follow and isn't affecting all users then recreate the user's Outlook profile.

When you say 'follow' I assume you mean in a roaming profile environment? We do have this but I haven't t tested roaming with it. It only affects one individual user. I'll try roaming with it on Sunday when I am due to the clients site.

I presume that I delete and re-add the users Outlook profile in  Control Panel > Mail ?

Sorry for the delay.

I've recreated the users profile and the error in the Synchronisation log has gone. Ta.
