WiFi "hot spot" managment software for XP laptops

I need a user friendly WiFi management software for mobile end users and their XP laptops.

The default version is proving too difficult for end users when trying to maintain connections to preferred networks, like when the SSID is not broadcasted or when connectivity is spotty or if they hop around from home to coffee shops to work.

Is their a third party alternative?

each device at a client end has its own management tool.....there is a couple that will centrally manage your AP's eg http://www.airwave.com/ but windows wireless is the easiest to configure and toy with - no matter what happens, if an SSID isnt broadcated, 3rd party or windows isnt going to find it
