I made a modification to one of my reports recently (sql/rs v2K, vs .net 2003)
i just added 3 more subscriptions to it...so, it is to run 4 times daily, issuing an email each time.
it just now ran today's run #1, and it sent two emails....so, i go in there and i find 4 new sql agent jobs.
so, now there's eight jobs for the 4 subscriptions.  obviously, i only want/need four.  i've blown the extras out,
but, why would this happen?  i'm concerned about today's next 3 runs.

this is very important.  suddenly i need to similarly revise another report.  very simple, i need four emails throughout the day, so i need four subscriptons.  ONLY four.  does anybody know why the extras are created?  there are only four listed in report manager, subscriptions

as i said, i'd created additional subscriptions for an existing report.  they've all run now --- only the first one sends 2 reports.  the rest only send the one expected email.  any thoughts at all?

Hi dbaSQL,

I'm note sure what could cause this - can you have a look in your Subscriptions table - just check that there are now just the 4 subscriptions for this report.  Also, double check that the schedule for the first report does not still have an extra option in it (since it used to send of 4 emails - you might have left an extra one on?).

Failing that - given that the three new ones all work ok - you might just want to delete the first one and re-create it.

Cheers!

there are only 13 in there, that's exactly what i'd expect
i think i may delete it and create another, though
this has happened 3 times now, i just don't know what it is
thank you, hillwaaa, i will go ahead and close this
thanks for your input
