remove names from the address book in outlook

we are using outlook 2000 and exchange and server 2000. I just need to remove some old names from the address book in outlook. if I remove there account from A.D. then they should be remove, but if I need to keep there account but dont want them in the address book, how would I make that work.

Go into the AD account and to the Exchange Advanced tab.  Check "HIDE FROM EXCHANGE ADDRESS LISTS".

If you can not see that advanced tab go to the VIEW menu in the snap-in and select "Advanced Features.

Your users will see the changes next time they close an open Outlook.
