JSP pagnation issue

hi,

I have used JSP paganation but never run into this issue before. I'm reading thousands of records and creating paganation in few sec/min. on our test server, but when it goes to production server same paganation taking half hour to create ? Any idea why is so ??

see whats the difference between dev and production environments. are you using same  database in both the envoronments?

U got correct.

Dev env. is diff. then Prod.

Dev: Application server and DB are at one place

Prod: Application and DB server are at 2 diff. place.

ok, i believe when you deployed your applicaiton in production server , its not able to get some references.

can you post the code which is giving erors in production environment?

Error are related only to DB connection and time out but nothing like ref. other object or code problem.

#1 java.sql.SQLException: ERROR: JagConnProxy: Connection already Closed
#2 The maximum number of rows permitted on a worksheet been exceeded

Other has time out issue. Page not Found. And for few its taking a while to display pagnation...

Also is there a way: let say I have 8500 records in my DB. Based on 85k its taking a while to generated paganation. Is there a way where paganation be done based on 100 records or number we provided..
