Situation: You need to let someone Pause documents sent to the printer, but not pause the entire printer itself.

Do you ONLY assign the user Allow - Manage Documents for the printer

OR

Assign the Manage Documents for the printer AND also assign the user the permission to Manage the printer

My 70-290 book says it's the 2nd option.....my question is why do we need ot give the Manage Printers permission

If all they need to do is pause documents sent to the printer, then I would just assign them Manage Documents.  This way they can pause, cancel, restart, reorder jobs.  If you assign them Manage Printer, then they will have the ability to do the afore mentioned tasks as well as change spooling, change properties, change settings and share the printer.

Thats exaclty what i was thinking....i hate these type of questions. When it comes to the MS exams, how are we supposed to know what they are asking for.

Or is it something to do with the "but not pause the entire printer itself" ??
