Epson 3590 Printer, better scanning sofware

I'm using the software that came with the scanner. It integrates with Photoshop, but when scanning multiple documents it has to reopen every time.

Is there better scanning software for the Mac and this device. I looked at SilverFast software but they don't make it for this scanner model.

For scanning documents, I use Scansoft Paperport. Very good program to scan and manage documents of single and multiple pages.
