Dis-assembling an Ergo Laptop to change a CMOS battery

I have an Ergo Laptop - Mercury 2 - L2000 laptop to sort for a friend . I was trained on Compaq laptops years ago and this apparently was made by HP or HP Partner. HP bought Compaq ; so are now 1 company. It's three years old and I cannot find details about it anywhere on HP site. I would like to strip it but some of the HP stuff don't even have batteries.
Where to find instructions without paying a minimum £75 just to appraise it  according to the ergo website? Actual problem is the date and time goes back to year 2000 January midnight some date ther abouts.

Would this service manual be what you are looking for. It is referenced to the HP L2000 model.

It seems I was too hasty shelling out the points. HOPING I GUESS. The Laptop I have is quite different on closer inspection / disassembly. I'll try again.

Just post a zero point question in the community support TA  and ask for the question to be reopened.
