How to add user into busytime.nsf, free time no info

When i schedule a meeting, and invite my peers to attend the meeting, some of them does not have free time info when i clicked on "check all schedule", it appears "No Info". I understand that those information are stored in Busytime.nsf, so i went to check the database, and found out that those people are not listed in the busytime.nsf. I am out of idea how to add them in. Any expert to help me?

I think the busytime.nsf DB is not updated with the info from users' mailfile. From server's console, you could try to stop Calender and Schedule task and remove the busytime.nsf to a backup location. Then start the services again for recreating the busytime.nsf. The new-created DB will be updated. Sometimes, we have to maintain this DB this way.

Also, it could be that these people have not set up there busytime properly, so that the info is not available.

Lastly, it could also be that they are not replicating the info properly.

You might want to check the help on how to enable this and make sure that everyone is using it.

I hope this helps !
It's been a while since I've had to deal with busytime issues but afai remember it based on the owner of the mail file, i.e. the one under the Tools | Preferences action button in the mail file.  In which case also check this matches the person's name as listed in the domino directory by re-selecting it from the directory.  If there is an entry for an old incorrect owner then delete the individual entry from busytime.nsf or as has been said you can just delete the file and let it re-create.

Hi hong7cong ,
I had tried the method you mentioned, but still no go.

Hi SysExpert ,
Any idea how to "set up busytime properly"? and what to replicate?

Hi dragon-it,
I have checked the name matches with domino directory, and i deleted busytime.nsf, but still no go, the user name still does not appears in the busytime.nsf database.
Just a thought but is the administration server set properly on the correct server in the acl of the database and is the server (or localdomain servers) appear as a server or servergroup entry in the acl with suitable rights?
It needs to be done on a per client basis, since each person can decide whether to share their calendar info and allow freetime lookup or not.

It is in the mail preferences - calendar

I actually reinstall the lotus client for this user, then his name appears in busytime.nsf in our server, When you launch the program after completed the installation, lotus Notes will ask you to configure home server, then it will register your name in busytime.nsf.
Glad you resolved it.
Like I said, it is per user, and normally you do not require a reinstall.

I hope this helps !
