sql2005 mirroring suspended

Hi,
sql2005 mirroring suddenly suspended, how do i go in details tp investigate the problem? I had try to resume the connection several time but end up with no success.

The database owner can resume a suspended database mirroring session, so make sure you are using the owner privellages.

To resume a database mirroring session
Connect to either partner.
Issue the following Transact-SQL statement:
ALTER DATABASE <database_name> SET PARTNER RESUME
where <database_name> is the mirrored database whose session you want to resume.

before go with this commands is there any sql statement that i can use to check on the mirroring availability and why it fail?
