Hello EE I have setup a linux box with fedora 5 and installed postfix, dovecot, spamassassin and squirrel mail. I followed instructions from www.linux.com
. After a bit of trouble , all is installed but postfix is storing all the mail in the queue , it is receiving external mail and accepting mail from local users. but it is all stuck in the postfix queue. when I force a flush queue via webmin, I get one of the following messages
1. connect to 127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]: read time out or
2. conversation with 127.0.01:[127.0.0.1] timed out while sending end of data -- message may be sent more than once.
i can send the postfix cong files or dovecot conf file if required. please help. quite urgent
To explain further - the two messages above appear next to messages in the mail queue in the status column. Also , I copied the main.cf file for postfix from a working installation and simply changed it to suit the new domain. could this have contributed? I did the same with master.cf
