My Sony laptop (PCG505 series) has a Matshita UJDA745 DVD/CD combo drive. The drive plays CD audio disks but will not play DVD disks. Windows XP device manager shows the drive as a DVD/CD but the system CMOS indicates a CDROM, with no other options available. Does this mean that either the motherboard or the BIOS version does not support DVD?<br />
