Exchange Server Deleted, before users logged on and switched to other exchange server
Hello,
I installed a new exchange server. Moved mailboxes over, Outlook working well......
had some other problems which I needed to re-install IIS and Exchange 2003. Moved mailboxes over to old server.
No problem.....
However, I removed Exchange on the new server, the one they were connected to, before they logged onto Outlook and it connected automatically to the old server. So now I have some Outlook users than can not get outlook running, since it will not startup and I can not get it to startup up enough to change the email account to point to the new server.
Say can not find outlook folders. When give ok. it terminates.
Have tried Outlook /profiles and built a new profile. then started with Outlook /profile <profile name>
but the user will not want to do this,.....many are PC challenged. I can start it on there PCs running as the administrator, but with so many users, that will be a big challenge also. I am rebuilding the exchange server, but it is hours away from being ready. ANY IDEAS? PLEASE ADVISE. THANKS.
