how to disable normal user to search the computer in the search function ?

Hi

Here's what you can do :

- remove the search button from start menu :

- or just hide it from the start menu :
http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/845/


or using gpedit.msc

you have to restart your PC after doing that

sorry, i forgot to show u how to do it using gpedit.msc

Start > run > gpedit.msc
browse to
User Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ Start Menu and Taskbar \
Remove the Search item from the Start menu, and disables some Windows
Explorer search elements....

This options removes the CTLR+F function too
