This is an AOL connectivity code, my repair was simple, go to add/remove programs, select AOL Connectivity, change/remove, then select repair, make sure you are closed out of AOL software before starting.<br />

Did you do the above with all AOL software closed?<br />
<br />
If no joy, what operating system are you using? If Windows 98, you may need to go back to AOL 7.<br />

This did not solve the problem. &nbsp;I had found this suggestion with the original Google search. &nbsp;My friend that I was trying to solve this problem for, took the computer back as I was not able to help him, so as far as I am concerned this item can be terminated. Sorry

Get this error when trying to connect to AOL with a dialup modem.  The modem and computer works correctly for other 
actions - can dial and connect to other telephones ok.  I have found the described fix to use the "add remove programs"
repair AOL connectivity- repair.  This did not fix the problem at all!
