Mail Processor Needed on Windows Server 2003 / Installation Steps

I have a new web server running Windows Server 2003.  I need to setup a program so I can process forms and email from my web sites.  I don't want to put in a 'mailto' command and have the person's local mail client open up to send the email since many people use web-based mail apps the mailto does not function the way we need it to.  I have searched and found a number of programs, but most appear to be geared toward UNIX installations.

I have installed ActivePearl and added the SMTP service to my Windows 2003 web server, but am unsure what to do next.

I am looking for
1) Detailed server configuration steps (applications, services, smtp configuration, etc)
2) Steps I might need to take with my ISP to send/receive/relay email (smtp redirection, etc)
3) Form / mail processing program to install
4) Ways to test that it's working
5) This installation should also automatically send the mail that is located in the c:\inetpub\mailroot\pickup directory

Thanks for the information.  I was out of the office since last week which is why I haven't replied earlier.

I looked over this material and while it looks like it would solve some of the issues I have, I'm not sure it addresses the other items in my list.

For example, do I need to contact my ISP and get my MX record changed to reflect an IP address to my server?
Will this solve the issue about being able to use a form to process email instead of opening a person's mail client?
Will it automatically send mail in the pickup directory or, if I use the SmarterMail Spool, can I put any properly formed mail directly into that directory and have it sent?

Hi,

***!!!!For example, do I need to contact my ISP and get my MX record changed to reflect an IP address to my server?

If you are using NS records of your ISP then yes you have to contact to you ISP and If you have your own domain control panel then you can easily change MX record.

Yes..

Its automatically send mail ... mails automatically goes to spool and then delivered.

You can check and update me if you get any problem.

The SmarterEmail was a great addition to the setup, although I'm still trying to work through a forms processing program.  I have the domain mail working and sending mail from the pickup directory.  I can manually format a message, drop it into the Pickup directory and have it sent, but the choice and configuration of a Windows-based forms processor (cgi or Perl) has not happened.  Do you have a recommendation there?  Many that I've looked at use UNIX syntax, but I'm using it in a Windows Server environment.
