Offline Files 2003 and XP

We just switched to windows 2003 and AD.
I am about to have offline files setup on laptop users. I heard that many IT admins have run into problems with it not working well.  Some suggested other utilities as an alternate solution.
What do you recommend?
Someone recommended Allway Sync?   Do you have any recommendations

we use offline files with no issues across many sites, make sure you just apply to laptops though :) dont laugh! there was a site where i found it on all machines **grin**
