Quickbooks IIF import - AUTO NUMBER Invoice on import

Looking to see if anyone has figured out how to AUTO NUMBER an imported INVOICE in a QuickBooks IIF file.

QB Pro 2006

FIELD: DOCNUM
AutoNumber entry: ?

I have read elsewhere it is not possible, but I wanted to ask you kids.

The answer lies in a QuickBooks (QB) ODBC driver.  Problem is that the driver is like $150!  Some have written import programs for less.

You can get the ODBC, write a querry to get the last invoice number in QB, and stop off of that.
