Hi,

I'm working on a JSP page (search.jsp) using Tomcat 5.5 on Win XP and am wondering why I got this error:

[Error Message]
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSP

An error occurred at line: 4 in the jsp file: /search.jsp
Generated servlet error:
Facade cannot be resolved to a type
[/Error Message]

Below is the search.jsp file:
<%@ page import="java.util.*,java.text.*, com.syslore.multicolumn.*" %>
<%
// Create an mcorrection facade instance.
      Facade facade=new MCFacade();
%>

Below is the API documentation for Facade:
***************************
com.syslore.multicolumn
Interface Facade

All Known Implementing Classes:
    MCFacade
***************************

Below is the API documentation for MCFacade:
***************************
com.syslore.multicolumn
Class MCFacade

java.lang.Object
  |__com.syslore.multicolumn.MCFacade

All Implemented Interfaces:
    Facade
***************************

Why is this happening?  Any idea of how to make the search.jsp file working?

Thanks in advance!

Actually it's working now.

I don't know what I did, but I rearranged the jar files and reinstalled the jdk, etc, and then it worked after  tomcat is restarted.
