arp -a ?

What does arp -a do?

It looks like it gives 3 dynamic ip addresses.
None of those addresses match the address I get when I run ipconfig command.

Essentially, it displays the arp cache (address resolution) - showing internet address to physical (MAC) address.

More info on arp:

ARP is the Address Resolution Protocol.
The ARP protocol maps addresses between the Data Link Layer and the Network Layer of the OSI Model.
The Data Link layer of TCP/IP networks utilizes MAC addresses; the Network Layer of TCP/IP networks utilizes IP addresses.
